THE NEED
- Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any other mental illness, yet 8 million Americans suffer from one, according to the Eating Disorders Coalition.
- One-in-four girls and one-in-six boys under the age of 16 have been victims of sexual abuse, according to the YWCA.
- Approximately 63 percent of men admit to struggling
with pornography in the past year. Two-thirds are in church leadership and 10 percent are pastors, according to a survey by Focus on the Family.

often denied coverage for biblically based care and some who need counseling are uninsured.
- Churches usually pay 30-50 percent more for professional counseling than insurance companies.
- Because of contracts with professional counselors, insurance groups are able to pay far less than churches for the same services.
